TRAVELING BY CAR

Just a short drive southwest of downtown Phoenix, Phoenix Raceway sits in the desert landscape near Avondale – a true jewel of the NASCAR season. With warm weather, desert views, and the excitement of the NASCAR race weekend, your trip can easily turn into a full getaway.

Because of the large crowds expected during race weekend, fans are strongly encouraged to arrive early. If you have a parking pass, make sure to check the details printed on the back, as entry routes may differ from general parking. Police officers and parking attendants will be on-site to guide all vehicles.

Directions

• From Downtown Phoenix: Take I-10 West toward Avondale, then follow signs for Exit 128 (Litchfield Road). Turn left (south) and follow the signs leading to Phoenix Raceway.
• From the East Valley (Mesa/Tempe/Chandler): Use Loop 202 West to merge onto I-10 West, then take Exit 128 (Litchfield Road) south to the track.
• From the West Valley (Glendale/Peoria): Take Loop 101 South to I-10 West, then Exit 128 (Litchfield Road) and follow signs to the Speedway.
• From Tucson and Southern Arizona: Take I-10 West toward Phoenix, then Exit 128 (Litchfield Road) south to the Raceway.
• From Northern Arizona (Flagstaff/Prescott): Take I-17 South to I-10 West, then Exit 128 (Litchfield Road).

• Downtown Phoenix: 30 minutes (25 miles via I-10 West)
• Tempe/Mesa: 40 minutes (35 miles via I-10 West)
• Glendale/Peoria: 25 minutes (20 miles via Loop 101 South & I-10 West)
• Tucson: 2 hours (120 miles via I-10 West)
• Flagstaff: 2 hours 30 minutes (150 miles via I-17 South & I-10 West)

Extra tips

• Expect heavy traffic near the Speedway, especially before major races.
• Follow all traffic and parking directions from officers and attendants.
• Parking is available in multiple lots, each clearly marked – pay attention to signage.
• Tailgating is allowed in most parking areas, but open flames may be restricted.
• Avoid parking along public roads or in nearby shopping areas – unauthorized vehicles may be towed.
